National Volunteer Week 15-21 May

Volunteers are a highly valued part of the City of Wanneroo and play a vital role in making our communities stronger, especially during times of need, crisis or isolation. The City recognises and appreciates the significant contributions of all volunteers to making our community a better place to live, work, and visit. If you are passionate about making a difference in your community while meeting new people and learning something different, then we encourage you to consider volunteering with us.

Volunteering Policy

Volunteering is a great way to get involved with your local community, to contribute to a cause you care about and to meet like-minded people.  Being a volunteer can bring purpose as well as increased self-esteem and wellbeing.  It also provides you with an opportunity to share your skills or knowledge and learn new things. Volunteering also strengthens communities by bringing people together and building community spirit and resilience.

The City of Wanneroo recognises these benefits and through our Volunteering Policy, is committed to delivering a quality Volunteer Program which provides opportunities to volunteer with the City and to encouraging volunteering across the community.
